Our Story

This coffee was made in the highest mountain ranges of my native country, Dominican Republic. "Nana" was my mother's nickname. My mother was known for her love, generosity, and warm hospitality towards others as she used to say, "Quieres café?" whenever someone walked through the door. This coffee gives that fuzzy feeling of having a cup of coffee with your loved one. I would like to share my love and memories of café to others, including you. That is what Nana's Coffee is about. Sip and love others.– Al Tejeda

Who We Are

Hey! We are so happy to connect with you and share a little bit about us and our company motto. “Sip and love others” or “Toma y ama los de mas,” whichever you prefer! Our company motto comes from the message Al’s late mother used to share with us as she used to prepare a cup of coffee at any time of the day. She was very special and the reason why we created this coffee and the company. The idea of starting this company began in 2020 during the pandemic after the loss of Al’s mother in 2019. The researching and sourcing continued through 2021. Then, the production began in 2022. It took us some time to achieve our goal, but here we are! Ready to launch in 2023.

We decided to source this premium coffee from Dominican Republic where Al’s native family is from and be able to share the coffee with you. We hope you can enjoy this coffee as much as we did in developing it. The process wasn’t easy, but definitely worth it. We hope you experience that fuzzy feeling of a fresh cup of café that many of us experience in our lives (if not every day for those coffee lovers lol!)

So like our motto says,

Sip and love others / Toma y ama los de mas!"

May this coffee represent a moment of gratitude, family, quality time, warmth, good times, and above all, love. It’s not just about sipping coffee and getting on with your day. It’s about enjoying that moment with somebody special even if it’s yourself!

Enjoy and love others,

Al  & Barbara Tejeda
